Tropfest’s new location – Parramatta Park – is just a quick trip away. Whether you’re coming from the East, West, South or North, you'll be able to make your way safely and comfortably to Parramatta Park.
For Tropfest 25, we recommend leaving your car at home – save some petrol dollars! – by using public transport as there will be no parking at Parramatta Park. However there are multiple City of Parramatta paid parking facilities close by.
Below is information that will help you plan your trip to Parramatta Park. However, we recommend using to finalise details of your trip.
Travel by Train
For attendees who live in Sydney’s East, make your way to Central Station. From there it’ll just be a 23-minute train ride – on our Pineapple Express! – until you get to Parramatta.
On the day of Tropfest 25, we’re running special express trains from Central to Parramatta, departing from Platform 5. The specially branded trains will depart from the platform at 12.01 pm, 1.05pm and 2.10pm. You won’t miss the huge pineapples on these trains!
However, if you would like to arrive at Parramatta Park earlier – which we recommend to secure a great spot! – head to Platform 18 at Central Station. Trains heading to Parramatta leave from this platform every 15 minutes.
For attendees arriving from the North, near Castle Hill, we recommend catching the bus from the Castle Hill Interchange, on Old Northern Road, Stand C alighting at Parramatta Interchange – Stand B3.
From the Parramatta Interchange walk up Argyle Street, turning right at Pitt St. From there, you will be able to enter the park through the Pitt Street entrance.
For attendees coming from the South and West of Sydney, please check . Unfortunately, the following lines will be affected by track work and will run on an amended schedule. Buses are to replace trains on the following lines:
- T2 Airport Lines
- T2 Inner West & South Line
- T3 Bankstown Line
- Southern Highland Line
After you arrive at Parramatta Station, it's a quick walk to Parramatta Park - just 11 minutes!
Travel by Ferry
Attendees will also be able to catch the ferry to Parramatta, alighting at Parramatta Wharf.
Take the F3 Parramatta River – Circular Quay to Parramatta service.
However, the last ferry from Parramatta Wharf to Circular Quay will leave at 7.38pm.
Make your trip easier! If you're a first time user of UBER, enter the code “TROPFEST1” and receive $25 off your Uber ride – a ride that you could take from your home right to Central Station, or for your journey back from Tropfest.
Walking from Parramatta Station
Once you have arrived at Parramatta Station, exit right to Darcy St - through centenary square, then up Church St, making a left down George St into the George St gatehouse entrance.
Or... take the Parramatta Shuttle Bus
The Parramatta Shuttle Bus, provided by the City of Parramatta, is a FREE transport service that can pick up attendees from the Parramatta Interchange on Darcy St.
Alight for Tropfest at Macquarie St West or the O’Connell St (Parramatta pool) stops.
The Parramatta Shuttle Bus will operate in revised hours between 9:00am and 11pm, and will depart every 25 minutes. See below for the shuttle bus route and map.
Throughout the evening, two buses will maintain regular services, with both vehicles being fully compliant for people with mobility concerns or disability assistance needs.
For Your Trip Home
We're excited to announce our partnership with UBER, and for your ride home, they'll be providing a dedicated pick up area at Parramatta Park, with hundreds of UBERs ready to get you home - safe and sound.

- The last train from Parramatta to Central Station is at 12.50pm.
- Nightride buses buses depart Parramatta Bus Station every 30 minutes after 11.30pm.
- The last ferry leaves Parramatta Wharf at 7.38pm
